Launchpoint Fundraiser Raffle Terms and Conditions

1. Organiser

This raffle is organised and promoted by GlideWise Limited (“the Organiser”) in connection with the British Gliding Association (BGA) Sporting Conference 2026 (“the Event”).

All proceeds from this raffle will be donated to Launchpoint, the gliding charity managed by the British Gliding Association.


2. Eligibility

  • Participation in the raffle is open only to individuals attending the Event in person.

  • Entrants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of ticket purchase.

  • Tickets are available exclusively during the Event and are not sold online or in advance.


3. Ticket Purchase

  • Raffle tickets are sold at a price of £5 (five pounds sterling) per ticket.

  • Tickets may only be purchased at the Event venue during the Event.

  • Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable once purchased.


4. Prize

The prize consists of one (1) GlideWise Canopy Flasher, supplied by GlideWise Limited.

The winner may select either:

  • a front-opening, or

  • a side-opening variant,

depending on compatibility with their glider.

Prize Conditions

  • The winner is responsible for installation and compatibility with their aircraft.

  • The prize does not include installation, fitting, certification, or any additional accessories unless explicitly stated otherwise by the Organiser.

  • The winner is responsible for ensuring installation and use of the prize complies with applicable aircraft airworthiness and operating requirements.

No Cash Alternative

  • The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and no cash alternative will be offered.

  • Any price difference between product variants will not be paid in cash, credit, or any other form of compensation.


5. Draw and Winner Selection

  • The winning ticket will be drawn at random.

  • The draw will take place at the closing session of the Event.

  • The winner must be present at the Event at the time of the draw or nominate a representative to claim the prize.


6. Prize Claim

  • Proof of the winning ticket must be provided to claim the prize.

  • If the prize cannot be taken immediately, delivery arrangements will be agreed between the winner and the Organiser.

  • Installation, aircraft compatibility, and any regulatory or airworthiness compliance relating to use of the prize remain the responsibility of the winner.


7. Liability

  • The Organiser accepts no responsibility for lost, damaged, or illegible tickets.

  • The Organiser reserves the right to substitute the prize with an alternative of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond its control make this necessary.

  • The Organiser shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in the raffle or use of the prize.


8. Legal Compliance

  • This raffle is conducted as an incidental lottery in accordance with the Gambling Act 2005.

  • Tickets are sold only during the Event and the draw takes place during the Event.

  • No rollover or future draw is permitted.


9. Data Protection

Any personal information collected for administering the raffle will be used solely for prize administration and will not be retained longer than necessary.


10. Acceptance of Terms

Purchase of a raffle ticket constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
